Things to see in Deerfield Beach, FL
Deerfield Beach is the most northern town in Broward County, Florida. It is located south of the Palm Beach county line and as of the 2010 U.S. Census, the area had a population of 75,018. Deerfield Beach is considered part of the “Miami Metropolitan area”; also known to locals as #SouthFlorida and has a population of 5.5M.
The area became a settlement in 1890 and the post office was named Deerfield for the numerous deer that can be seen grazing along the Hillsborough River. In the 1940s the towns name was changed to Deerfield Beach, to let tourist know it has a beach.
