My Viral Pinterest Pin

Posted by on Jul 28, 2014 in Rachel's Blog

I pinned this pin a few weeks ago, and it went viral….
Let me start by saying it is not mine, it was created by FunkyTime.

Funkytime can be found on a variety of social media including the following

This pin had no source when I found it, and as you might realize, this pin has not always been pointed at this page….

For the first 200 re-pins it was not pointed at anything, as the person I re-pinned from only uploaded it to Pinterest.

At that point, I pointed the pin towards a similar pin, and left it there for approximately 150 pins.

I thought for sure the virility of the whole thing was done, but I went ahead and pointed it to my author page.

Assuming it would stop I left the pin pointed there for another 1700 pins or so….

It is almost at 2000 re-pins, and I felt it really should point to it’s own page.

I’m sure at this point a month later it will probably stop being re-pinned, but by chance that it doesn’t here it is….

I will probably never know why it went so viral, I guess it just speaks to people…
